The last two weeks have flown past so quickly! At the beginning of May we found out that Matthew and Bru had been selected to go forward into the Team GB selection process for potential inclusion on GB teams in the future! I'm so proud of them both 💛 I had to take a photo of them for the official press release...spot Matthew and Bru!
Bru's preferred way of posing!!
On my birthday I had a lovely walk with the shelties
We also ate cupcakes!
And look at the fabulous photo I got from Matthew! This doesn't do it justice as its huge!
All crashed out and poor Toad being used as a pillow again!
Spark and I went on a training day on my birthday and we had great fun but got absolutely drenched!!! Spark modelling her new blingy fox proof collar!
And even managing to watch agility calmly!
Post training!! 😂
Sparks first two workshops of the year! We had so much fun!
When I came home I found the most AWESOME cake in my kitchen from my very clever cake making friend Julie from Julies Cake Company!! I can safely say it tasted amazing as well! The detail was so clever, I was so surprised and Matthew had been part of the secret so very well planned!
Brodie also enjoyed using one of my present boxes as a food toy! Many thanks to everyone for all my wonderful presents, I feel truly spoilt!!
We also got photos from last Kelluki show, how amazing are these!! Especially of Spark with her hatred of photographers!!
I will do a proper show update from last weekends show next time once I have sorted the videos out!
Easter weekend we went to UKA and ran Bru and Spark, they were both brilliant and won a couple of classes! SPark even managed to watch some of the dogs running calmly!
This was Brus winning jumping run!
And Sparks winning agility run!
So pleased with how they did as four runs without going back to the car is a big ask for their mental stamina! Brooke was very annoyed that she wasn't allowed to run at this show due to her tail still healing up.
My friend got me some mushrooms that you can grow at home from coffee grounds and they were totally fascinating! I couldn't believe how fast they grew!! 😱🍄 They tasted lovely too!
The gingers got their hoopers rosettes from the last show and also their Level 1 Hooperstars awards which are so pretty!!
And Mr Toad got his amazing Hoopers Senior League runner up rosette from Kelluki Hoopers shows last year!! I'm sad to say this is his last sofa photo as he is now retired but it is certainly one to treasure ❤ The rosette and trophy are so lovely!
Not to be outdone by her sheltie siblings, Spark won an online Hoopers competition!
We managed to find some bluebells starting to come out!
Brooke looks like she is the one needing coffee in this photo! Quick cuppa break at work!
So onto the show this weekend, Brodie had the best time flirting! My friends 14 week old puppy is on the right in this pic and he is adorable!
Brooke bean got to run at this show, first time in the ring for 8 months and she was a bit mad!! Since losing over half her tail we were worried about how it would affect her balance but she has been ok, taken a while to get confident again in weaves but she did some of the fastest dog walks she has ever done yesterday!
And this little man won two of his classes making his Grade 4!!! He was such a dude 💛
He is good at posing but prefers to spend most evenings like this!!
Love this photo, can't say why I needed to take a posing photo of them but all will be revealed soon!! It is very difficult to keep it quiet! Suffice to say I'm so very proud of them!
And this little lady had no clears but I was thrilled with how she worked and that she coped having a photographer close to the ring both days at the show! I'm hoping that they may ave got some good pics of her 💜 Just little faults in most runs but so lovely to be back running with her again
To top off a fun weekend today we played some hoopers with friends and Brooke amazed me with how her skills are coming on, she looks so different running without her tail! I know she missed a hoop in the video but her layering was fabulous!
Look how beautiful these two are!! 💚💙 we had a lovely few days off work together and for a change the weather was nice so we enjoyed some long walks in the spring sunshine!
Bru also got his rosette for comping 3rd in an online hoopers competition! His hoopers and distance work has really helped his agility 💛
Unfortunately poor Brooke has had a sad tale to tell...or should that be tail? Its a long story but she we noticed she must have been chewing on her tail when we weren't watching her and she had made it red raw. The vets gave us antibiotics but inevitably we knew that she was going to need a partial tail amputation as the tip had gone black 😢 The scary thing is that the vet thought it had been caused by some hair wrapped round the tail bone cutting off the circulation! The operation went well and she has been a model patient as usual!
Windswept walkies!!
Some of our tomato seedlings have been moved to bigger pots, four varieties this year!!
Less windy sunny walk!
Brookes tail bandaged up
I started work on the 29th March and it was so nice to be back, the bonus was that the weather has been beautiful!
This weekend Bru actually competed at a couple of shows!! Even the roadtrip was fun!!
These two did me proud at their first Grade 3 show by winning a jumping and an agility! It was a 1-3 show so the older dogs couldn't compete but it was so well organised and it was nice that I could watch from a distance.
The bonus of Covid shows is that as the turnaround is really quick we were home by midday for a cuppa in the garden!!
And to top off his KC show results Bru went and qualified for the UKA Dogeria Challenge at UKA so is off to the Grand Finals in October!!! I didn't get to go and watch but saw the course plans online in the morning and thought they looked lovely.
Bru also got his Hoopers Stars Level 1 award which is an online set of exercises that you film and submit in your own time. Brooke had one more to do when her tail issue cropped up! The rosette is gorgeous!!
I have been continuing to do jump work in the garden with them and got some cool stills from videos
And having a training session with Spark, good to test the skills in bigger spaces!!
