Some important visitors!

Over the past two weeks our puppies have been lucky enough to meet two very important people to me - my lovely Mum and sister Amy have both flown down from Scotland to see them, help me out and have and good catch up! Living so far away is hard but it makes time together so special and we enjoyed watching the pups antics.

This is my Mum and Squidge out for coffee!

Amy took some lovely photos of the pups (now 7 weeks old)

My mother in law Wendy and Amy getting Bracken and Sparkled on the sofa!!

Amy took some amazing photos of the boys, I would be hard pushed to choose a selection but here goes!

Adult shelties posing :-)

Mummy, Daddy and Blaze (who was a bit confused!)

Brooke and Blaze

I like this one of Maverick and his Mum and Dad-Brodie and Brooke look like they are having a chat!

Brooke and Maverick (excuse the milky dribbles!)

Mummy, Daddy and Squidge

I love this one-Brooke is teaching him bad manners!!  (He looks embarrassed by his Mum!)

Amy also got some lovely ones of the boys in the garden, again too many lovely ones to chose from!

Told you Squidge was learning naughty things from his Mum!!

Amy was also brilliant at helping Sparkle overcome her minor panic about having her photo taken with big cameras!!

Where did six weeks go?!

Puppies are six weeks old today and are just the most handsome little boys! I have never appreciated before how young pups can be to pick up tricks and life skills. They all sit for their meals and know it on a verbal command, they have done downs, collar grabs, tiny bits of nose touches and putting their front feet on different objects. Last night I was doing sits using a tuggy toy as a reward and they loved that! They will also do toy swaps, working their way from a fairly dull toy to a very exciting one. Their new owners are going to have so much fun with them :-)

Here are selfies of the handsome trio!

Squidges new owner and her very talented Mum visited yesterday and Squidge tried on his first coat (he hasn't got anywhere near as much hair as the tris) How cute is he?! He is now all ready for show season :-)

They are getting used to wearing their harnesses-we even managed a sit for a group picture. Its only black and white as my phone flash was playing up and turned them pink!! Dont be taken in by their innocent little faces...

Sometimes if they are naughty we send Brax in to keep an eye on things!!

Mummy Brooke bean looks a bit naked but in good shape :-)

Chilling out on the sofa away from their kids!!

Miss Sparkly is in season and feeling a bit sorry for herself. She likes nothing better than coming in from her walk and snuggling up on my lap watching the puppies. Good thing she isn't a big collie!

Beanie babies 5 weeks old and Brodie 8 years old!

It has been a week of new things! The pups have been in the garden for the first time, have had lambs ears to chew on, have an open crate to sleep in and have had a trip out in the car! They take everything in their stride and are doing well weaning onto kibble. They have been learning simple tricks with the aid of primula as a reward!

Out in the car for the first time!

Blaze sleeping on Auntie Sparkle! :-)

It was Brodies 8th Birthday yesterday!! He really is my dog in a million, he is such a dude! I love him to bits and just when last year couldn't get any better with him working so well in agility (getting an RCC at his only champ show!) he topped the year off by making three beautiful baby boys!! Here are some of my favourite photos of my special boy.

Happy goofy little dude! :-D

Beanie babies 4 weeks old!

I can't believe these gorgeous little puddings are a month old! What an incredible journey it is breeding a litter. A real rollercoaster of amazing moments and being utterly terrified!

The boys are now in a much bigger pen in the lounge and are either very active or fast asleep! They are gorgeous little hooligans :-) They are all brilliant little tuggers, very confident and very people friendly which is what I was really looking for in raising a litter. Oh and totally food motivated!!

Here are some up to date pics. They all have their proper names now so let me introduce...

Maverick (Mav for short) originally known as Gavin. Not the smallest any more but totally adorable! He still has a thing about sleeping with his left paw in the air :-) Don't be fooled by his cute face...he is a terror!

Squidge (was Smithy) - smallest pup now and never stays still unless fast asleep! Seems to have inherited his mums amazing flicky feet obedience trot which he shows off when he 'wins' a tuggy toy off a human!

Blaze (was Bryn) - Biggest boy and a real dude! Very mellow except for when he is playing, he really rags his toys!

Squidge and Blaze wearing their collars for the forst time. Obviously very stressed puppies!

All three enjoying one of their first meals (they have their own bowls now!)

I had a day off from puppy sitting (thanks to my lovely Matthew!) and took Dolly and Brodie to a KC show at the weekend. They did really well considering the lack of training! Dolly managed a 2nd in C1-3 jumping which was such a lovely course. Her agility runs turned into training runs as it be came apparent that she had forgotten what to do on contacts a bit! Brodie was a superstar going clear in the C6-7 jumping and finishing out of the placings but with a decent time for a course that had a couple of straight lines. He came 6th in the C6-7 agility which was not really his sort of course but it was a challenge to run and he had a great time! Thanks to Jenni for filming this :-)

Didn't think we would get a sofa pic this early in the year! He looks tiny and tired in this photo but watching his kids wears him out!

As for Brax and Sparkle...not talking to each other again!
